What a day...

I am supposed to working four 10 hour days...which means I work from 7 am to 5 pm Monday thru Thursday. This has been working out well for me...or it was until I found out I was pregnant! I have a hard time getting up at 5:30 each morning. I get so tired and I sleep like crap because I'm uncomfortable and thus not being able to get up in the morning. The past few weeks at work have been less than pleasant. We have been busting our butts to get the end of year closed up. I've worked 5 days a week for a few weeks now. So I decided yesterday that I need to get back on my regular schedule of 4 tens! This morning was a rough one for me. I got up but just could move fast enough.

I was on my way to work and around Somersworth, I started having the worst cramps ever! They felt like the pains I used to get when I had my period. And the pain got so bad that it was making my left leg go numb! So I tried repositioning myself but it wasn't helping. I got to work and it only got worse. So I called my doctor's office. They wanted me to come in and make sure everything was ok. I was supposed to have a doctor's appointment this Friday but they didn't want to wait till then. So I had to leave work to go to the doctors.

Now the last time I went to Sanford from York was when I had my ultrasound and I almost didn't make it. It took me like 50 minutes to get there. So today I gave myself an hour to get there. How long did it take? 35 minutes! So I waited in my car till about 12:45. When I walked into the office, the shades were down and they were at lunch. So I sat in an empty waiting room till 1:00! Murphy's Law.

Here is where it gets good...the nurse comes to get me and weighs me. I ask if I can take off my shoes. I was wearing heavy shoes and I didn't want the added weight! She then asks me if I have to use the bathroom. I say yes. So I go pee. She then proceeds to ask me if I left a specimen...I didn't know I was supposed to. She only asked if I had to go to the bathroom! So I answered no. But that was ok. Then we proceed to the exam room where she takes my blood pressure and asks a few questions about my cramps. She wasn't sure if the doctor (actually their new midwife) would want to do an internal exam or not. She decided to have me take my clothes off from the waist down. HA HA. I haven't shaved since my last appointment, 4 weeks ago! So I have Sasquatch legs! I was going to shave the day of my original appointment. So I wanted to die! But it gets even better. Now that I'm totally embarrassed by my super hairy legs...I look down at my feet...I'm wearing 2 different pairs of SOCKS! I wanted to die!

The midwife comes in - which by the way - took an eternity! She introduced herself and then made a comment about my mismatched socks! I was like, "I know...I had a rough morning". I never had an internal exam so I there was no reason for me to bare my hairy legs! But she did feel around and everything was fine. I guess I have a super sensitive nerve that makes my legs go numb! If it continues I will have to go to physical therapy. She then listened to the heartbeat. She said I have a happy active baby! It was really neat cause we could tell the baby was doing somersaults! It was really neat.

So I no longer have to go Friday but I now have to work on Friday because I was going for 2.5 hours today! So much for working 4 days this week! And that was my wonderful day!

I will post some pictures later on this weekend. We are going to our friend Donel's wedding in NY this weekend. I'm sure I will have a ton of pictures!

The House

Ok so Mike and I have found a house! We put in offer in on it last week and the seller accepted our offer! Now, we are waiting for his bank to approve the offer. Why you ask? This property is a "short sale". A short sale is when someone cannot afford their house anymore, they are about to loose it and bank will settle on an amount that is less than amount owed. So rather than go into foreclosure - which neither the bank nor the homeowner wants - they do a short sale. And thus...the bank has to approve the offer to make sure it's a price they want to settle on! Now it's a waiting game. I'm not very patient and I can't wait to hear back!

Here's a little history on the house. This was I believe the second or third house we had looked at. That was back in late fall...they wanted $169,900 for a 1200 sq ft ranch. There is a one car over sized garage with an attached car port and an attached breeze way. When I walked into the kitchen, I turned to Mike and had the sourest expression on my face...I HATED THIS HOUSE! The kitchen had really old appliances, a ghetto faux rock linoleum floor and hideous green counter tops. There was apple themed wallpaper with matching trim as well. Instead of a door walking into the living room it was a stucco-ed arch. The living room was nice. It had hardwood floors, a really nice bay window, a fireplace and built in book cases. Then once again, there was another stucco-ed arch way into the hallway. The rooms were nice with decent sized closets. Here is where it gets bad...the bathroom. I wanted to PUKE when I saw it. My first thought and first comment was, "I wouldn't use that bathroom even if I cleaned it 20 times!!" It was nasty! It had a gross green sink, circa 1959, a green shower, faux marble lining and the most disgusting, repulsive GREEN toilet! It was so nasty. So I told Mike, "I hate that house. There is nothing I like about. I can't live there".

Mike and I continued looking at every single house in Farmington! We fell in love 2 foreclosed colonials. Both needing work, one more than the other. So the more we looked at houses I got less picky about where I lived. I realized I can have it all! I wanted a new house in turn key condition but those kinds of houses were not really in our price range! We wanted a house that needed about $20K worth of work to make it "livable"...the more we thought about it, the less attractive the house became. And since we're having a baby...that means daycare! Which in case you're wondering...is $175 a week!! So we stopped pursuing the foreclosed colonials. I was surfing the net at work last week (hee hee) and saw the house I HATED relisted a super low price...I called Mike and said, "that house I hated is really cheap, for that cheap I can work this house"...and there you have it...we put an offer in on this house! And now we still wait...so it isn't quite ours yet but we've got our fingers crossed! I just want this whole house thing over with. I hate it! I also hate buying cars...and I would much rather deal with sketchy car salesman than buy a house!

Here are some picutres of the living room and bedrooms!

Definately Movement!

I was sitting at my desk today at work...when the baby started going crazy! I could definitely feel the "butterflies"! Then on my home, the baby was going crazy again! This time I had to pee and it felt like it was purposely kicking my bladder! This means, when they ask me next Friday if I can feel the baby move, I can say YES!

Today I'm 21 weeks! Very excited about that. That means I'm more than half way done. The baby weighs about 10.5 ounces and is about the size of a large banana...that's according to that i am pregnant website!

I had my second baby dream. My first one I dreamt I was having a boy. Last nights dream was a little on the weird side. But the outcome of this dream was a girl! And people keep asking me what my motherly instincts are...well I don't have any yet! I have no idea...sometimes I think boy other times I think girl. I guess we'll see in a few more months!

My mom and Duke came over. Once again, Midge was a little beeeoooccchhhh! Here is a cute video of them!

This is my first video from my new camera! I hope I uploaded it correctly. They were being so cute. Midge kept dragging Duke around! She's a strong little thing. I have a few more videos but this was the best one! I hope you enjoyed it!

Movement?!?!

On Saturday afternoon I was relaxing before we went out for Lindsay's birthday. I was lounging around in the recliner when I felt two pokes. It was a weird feeling. I've never felt anything like that before! It was faint but strong at the same time and it was in my belly! Then later on when we got home I was laying in bed and I felt the "flutter". It was really neat. I haven't felt the movements since. But I've also not been concentrating on feeling the movement. So maybe when I go to the doctor's next Friday (1/30) when they ask me if I've felt any movement yet, I can say YES!

On Sunday I went to visit my parent's new puppy! He is so cute!!! Here he is!! Midge hasn't warmed up to him yet. She still has the only child syndrome. She doesn't like to share and she wanted nothing to do with him! But she's going to have to get over that soon!

This picture is Midge trying to steal the rope that we brought over for Duke. Granted it was her old toy but I don't think she ever used it. She ended up stealing it about 2 seconds after I took the picture!

I am sick of all this snow. I am ready for a vacation! I would love to go somewhere warm and where there is no snow! I don't think I'll get a vacation until I have the baby! But is that really going to be a vacation?!

House Hunting

Ok, I HATE house hunting!! Whenever I talk about it, people always say/ask, "oh don't you just love going and looking at houses?!" My response, "no." I hate it. I hate the entire process!! I hate looking at houses, I hate getting my hopes up about a house...I hate making offers...I just plain HATE it!!

Mike and I have seriously looked at every house for sale in Farmington! I'm not kidding. We have looked at 10 houses. Those are just the ones we have actually gone and walked around in...that's not counting all the ones we looked at online, drive bys, etc!

We have found a couple that we have liked but there is always something wrong with them! Two that we really loved were foreclosures and they were missing all the appliances. One in particular was missing:
1. electrical panel
2. oil tank
3. water tank
4. boiler
5. all kitchen appliances
6. all lighting fixtures
7. all face plates for outlets and light switches
8. shower heads
9. propane stove in living room
10. one toilet
And I think that was it! But it was on a lot of land, in a nice quiet area and HUGE! They wanted nothing for it! But look at all the work it needs! And there is mold growing in the basement in the pull under garage! We had a bunch of people come in and give us some estimates but we haven't decided what we're going to do with house yet. We have a lot of questions for our loan officer!

The other one was also a foreclosure and it was only missing the shower heads, a few lighting fixtures and the kitchen appliances. We put an offer in on this one but the bank countered back to full price and wanted us to close in like 10 days!

We are going to look at another house today, one that is fresh to the market...on a LOT of land and close to town but surrounded by woods! Our appointment is at 10:30 and there is SO much snow outside...I hope we can make it up/down the drive way. I guess it has a LONG drive way and we're taking my car this morning. I guess I should go and clean off the 6 inches of snow that's on my car! I didn't put my car in the garage because I was going to go to my parent's house to see my new little bro dog! And Mike was going to change his oil...so I left my car out!

Oh and I will take lots of pictures of the new puppy! His name is Duke - his nickname is Dookie...because his color is shit brindle brown! That's a direct quote from my dad!

138 Days to Go!

Today makes 20 weeks!!! Yay! I'm halfway there! There are only 138 days to go...but lets hope for a few less! Here is a picture of a 20 week baby. This could be baby Moulton!

This baby is a girl - as it points out. Looks a little cramped! I go this great website that gives you week to week info (www.i-am-pregnant.com) and actual pictures of babies! That's where this photo comes from.

The baby weighs about 9 oz and is about 6 inches long! You would think I would be able to feel the baby move...nope. Kind of disappointing. The doctor's ask me every time I go if I can feel the baby move and I can't. They say it will feel like butterflies or gas. Well as ALL of you know...I always have gas! So I haven't been able to tell the difference between gas or baby!

Last night was the YHI's (York Harbor Inn) Christmas party. It ROCKED! I am so tired. I stayed till 11 pm and I didn't get home till midnight...so I'm beat. I'm too old and being pregnant it's hard to stay up that late on a school night! I danced my butt off! I'm hoping I burned some of calories I consumed last night! The food was so yummy and so bad for me! Baby Moulton will come out loving Neil Diamond and love to get it's groove on! We partied hard last night!

With all that being said...I'm going to bed!

The Big Ultrasound

Well I had my 19 week ultrasound! It was a little rough getting there! Here's how it went. I had to drain my bladder at 2:15 and then proceed to drink 32 oz of water in a half an hour span! I called Mike on my way to the doctor's to see where he was. We were both about half way there...then it hit me! I had to pee so bad and I was still on 95 in Wells!! So I tried not to think about it. I get into down town Sanford and I start to panic. I had the burning sensation and I couldn't have my seat belt rest on my bladder. Mike called me at 3:40 and said he was there...here was my response "oh my god!!! I'm not going to make it!" I hit a bit of a traffic jam and was about to pee my pants. So I called my doctors office and said I was stuck in traffic, I have to pee and I need a short cut! So they told me the quickest way to get there and told the sonographer I was on my way. We ran into the office and the sonographer was waiting for me!! I thought my bladder was going to explode. I was a bit hysterical!! Thankfully I made it!

The picture to the right is obviously a profile! Thank god they don't have my nose! The pic below is the scary baby picture!! My mom thinks it will have big eyes like me!!

This next one is just another profile shot.

So there are the photos!! We had a few more but they were not as good as these. Just arms and leg shots. We did not find out the sex. Our sonographer never went near the crotch region so she did not even see the junk!

I went to dinner tonight with my mom. That was nice. Got the scoop on my bro. My brother made it safely to Afghanistan on Wednesday. It seemed like it took him a week to get there! He will be on a safer base for a few more weeks then he's headed into the danger zone!! I'm praying that he stays safe! After dinner with my mom we came back to my house and picked out some cribs! And I found one that I really liked. So I'm hoping that's the one we'll get. And I had here take a few photos of my belly! I am officially 19 weeks and 1 day. And for your viewing pleasure...drum roll please...ta da!!

Ok well that's all I got! I'm beat! I will write another time and let you all know how the house hunting is going!

Almost there!

I have an ultrasound tomorrow at 3:45! I thought it was going to be a "dry" ultrasound...back at 10 weeks when I had my first one, I had to drink 32 fl oz of water in a half an hour span 1 hour before my appointment. I thought I was going to die! It wasn't bad holding it...it was after my ultrasound that I was finally able to go pee and I then had to pee every 5 minutes for at least 2 hours! So I figured since I was so far along now at 19 weeks and the baby was big enough I might be able to have this "dry" ultrasound...I was wrong! I had to drain my bladder at 2:15 and drink 32 oz between 2:15 and 2:45 and then my appointment is at 3:45! NOT going to be fun!

We are NOT finding out what we are having...but if we were...this would be the ultrasound that let's us know the sex. Hopefully I will have some pictures to post from the baby's second photo shoot!

Today is a snow day for me! Yay!! I will try to post something tomorrow or Friday with some pictures of the baby and maybe an updated baby bump photo!

Hello 2009!!!

Happy New Year!!! I did not think I was going to make it this year to ring in the New Year but I did! This was pretty low key, it was great! We got to ring in the new year with our close friends and family! And I wasn't the only pregnant chick there! I did miss having wine...Lindsay was drinking some super yummy wine that I had a little taste of. Only a few more months of no alcohol! I have the perfect wine to celebrate with. Back in September, just before I found out I was pregnant my parents, me and bro went to Thousand Island Winery in Alexandria Bay, NY and did a wine tasting. It was so much fun!! I bought a special wine, 10th Mountain Division Riesling. My brother was stationed at Fort Drum in New York. He is in the Air Force, he's TACP and he directly assists the Army so for right now he is in the 10th Mt. Div.! So I will not open this bottle until he returns home SAFELY from Afghanistan! Which just so happens to be about a month after I have the baby! So there will be a few reasons to celebrate!

I had my doctor's appointment today. It went great! I have been refusing to take the AFP testing and they usually try to make me feel guilty...but not today! So that was nice. I have been very concerned about gaining weight...I know how hard it is for me loose 10 lbs never mind baby weight of 20+ lbs! My sister gained 80 lbs with my niece!! I don't want to gain that much weight - if I did I would probably never loose it! So up until today I have gained zero pounds. I am 18 weeks and I only gained 3 lbs! So I feel pretty good about it! I'm only hoping to gain between 15-20lbs. The baby's heartbeat was 150 bpm and that's what it was at my last appointment (14 weeks)too. So all is well! My only challenge being pregnant is controlling my emotions! I haven't been very pleasant! Just ask Mike or my mom *wink* *wink*!!

We are going to look at some houses this weekend. We have been looking for a new house since about November. We put in offer in a house but they countered back to full price!! So we rejected their offer and decided to wait till after the holidays to put in another offer and look at houses again! So there are a few we're going to look at on Sunday. I would love to find a house soon so we can move in before the baby comes! So I'm keeping my finger's crossed that we'll find a house soon! Our 2009 is going to be busy! Buying a house, moving, having a baby...it's all so exciting!!

I hope everyone had a great New Years! Here's a parting picture from last New Years for your viewing pleasure!!! Well actually this isn't a New Years pic...but it was right after the New Year! This was my outfit I wore on NYE...this is Jeremy, Me and my boss Garry at the York Harbor Inn Christmas Party! I guess we didn't take any pictures from last year!
